184-pin DIMM
200-pin SODIMM
DDR SDRAM is a an evolution from single data rate (SDR) SDRAM. DDR, which
stands for Double Data Rate SDRAM, doubles the bandwidth available to
your system and runs twice as fast as regular SDRAM. DDR SDRAM transfers
data on both the rising and falling edge of the clock whereas SDRAM transfers
data only on the rising of the cycle. You cannot replace regular SDRAM
with DDR SDRAM due to the different power requirements and difference
in pin number. Standard SDRAM modules have 168-pin and DDR SDRAM are 184-pin
DIMMs. 266MHz DDR SDRAM (133MHz doubled) has the bandwidth of 2.1GB/sec
and is referred to PC2100.
